Padmapriya : The Lover of Lotus , Goddess Lakshmi

In Hindu mythology, the goddess Lakshmi is revered as the goddess of wealth, fortune and material and spiritual prosperity. Worshipped as the consort of the Lord Vishnu, Lakshmi occupies a special place in the pantheon of Indian gods and goddesses for her benevolence and the balance that she and her divine husband bring to the cosmos and the universe at large. Emerging at the time of the creation of the universe, legend has it that she arose, floating over the water on the expanded petals of a lotus flower, and that is how she is represented in most classical depictions. This exquisite marble sculpture pays tribute to her classical representations, and the master sculptor has also captured the representations of the four goals of human life: dharma, karma, artha and moksha by depicting her with 4 hands, each symbolizing one of the goals. This statue is designed to spread positivity and good vibes through the house and makes a perfect addition to a discerning art enthusiast's collection of artefacts steeped in Indian mythology and lore. This exquisite masterpiece is perfect for the living room or the Pooja room.
