Parambrahman: Ganesha with a Red Line on the Trunk

Lord Ganesha, the fun loving, elephant headed god in Hindu mythology is one of the most revered and beloved deities in Hindu mythology. Considered the patron saint of the arts and the intellect, Ganesha is also revered for his ability to help his devotees overcome obstacles and difficulties. Known for his benevolence, it is said that Ganesha will bless and grant boons to all those who worship him with faith and in belief. This exquisite sculpture depicts Ganesha as he is classically depicted in the epics: the trunk turning to the left symbolizes the power of the ida nadi within our own body, while symbolizing Ganesha's blessings to his devotees to remain prosperous and enjoy the fruits of their work. The attention to detail by the master craftsman perfectly captures Ganesha's benevolent expression and highlights his position as a beloved, well revered Indian God.
